Established in August 2010, CDL China Limited (CDL China) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of City Developments Limited (CDL), a Singapore-listed international real estate operating company with a global presence spanning 97 locations in 26 countries. CDL is one of Singapore's largest companies by market capitalisation, its income-stable and geographically-diversified portfolio comprises residences, offices, hotels, serviced apartments, integrated developments and shopping malls, totalling over 18 million square feet of floor area globally.
As the China arm of CDL, CDL China is in charge of the expansion efforts within the PRC and oversees the real estate development and investment activities there. Our mission is to make CDL a household name in China that is synonymous with high quality real estate developments, international expertise, green sustainability and professional property management. Our vision is to redefine skylines of China through the creation of iconic, world-class landmarks. CDL China currently has a presence in Chongqing, Shanghai and Suzhou.
Over the past seven years, CDL China has acquired five development sites totalling over 530,000 square metres of gross floor area. The sites are located in Shanghai, Suzhou and Chongqing, and range from residential and commercial developments to sizable mixed-use projects.
Our maiden acquisition in 2010 was an ultra-luxury residential site on the historic Eling Hill in Chongqing, followed by a prime mixed-use development in the heart of Suzhou Industrial Park, next to Jinji Lake in 2011. Our largest project in Suzhou comprises two condominium towers, a block of serviced apartments, an office tower, a shopping mall and luxury hotel. In 2012, we acquired another mixed-use site in a central location within Chongqing’s Yuzhong District, situated by a riverfront. In 2014, we gained a foothold in Shanghai with the acquisition of a completed luxury villa project in Qingpu district’s affluent residential corridor. In 2017, we acquired a prime Shanghai commercial project in Shanghai’s fast-developing Hongqiao Central Business District.
